Bincombe

Bincombe is a small parish 5 miles north of Weymouth and 5 miles to the south of Dorchester. The adjoining parishes are; starting in the north and going clockwise, Winterborne Monkton, Winterborne Came, Preston,  Broadwey and Upwey. The church of Holy Trinity is a small building of stone in the Early English style, having a chancel, nave, south porch and square western tower containing two bells. There is room for 80 people. The registers date back to 1658. There was a National School built in 1873 for 40 children, but the village did not have a post office. The parish comprises 977 acres with a population of 202 in 1891

The Online Parish Clerk (OPC) for Bincombe is Maureen Branson
