Return of Owners of Land 1873

This survey which was published in 1873 shows the owner of land is listed together with his parish of residence, then comes the area of the land in acres, rods and perches. The last column shows the annual gross rental value. The following is a list of all those people who owned land who lived in Shaftesbury. Obviously there will be people who lived outside the town who owned land within Shaftesbury, these are not shown as the list only gives us the address of the person, not the location of the land. Equally persons living in Shaftesbury may own land outside the parish.
